Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Quark City, Mohali
Tech parks are playing a pivotal role in making the IT industry flourish in the State. IT parks, both government and private, have contributed significantly in promoting IT/ITeS industry in Punjab. A number of SEZs are coming up in the state of Punjab most of them being in the district of Mohali. Quark City India Limited is the only IT SEZ in Punjab that has been notified under the SEZ Act. It has been anticipated that excluding the already existing Quark SEZ (13.75 hectares), close to 52 hectares of land would be developed under IT SEZs in the future.
